Click “Apply for group membership”. This is a great way to stay informed about PTA activities and opportunities.
Make a Tax-Deductible Donation: Money donated to the PTA, above your membership dues, is tax-deductible.
Volunteer at an Event: Grill hot dogs at the Back to School Fair, help children write their wish lists at Book Fair, run a game at Spring Fair, translate a flyer into Spanish or use your unique skills to contribute any way you can.
Attend a Meeting: PTA meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm on Zoom. Attending meetings is not mandatory, however, we'd love to have you there.

Volunteer Information
Per MCPS regulations, all volunteers must be trained in recognizing child abuse and neglect prior to volunteering at Viers Mill or chaperoning field trips. Prior to volunteering, you must log on http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/childabuseandneglect/, to complete the training, and bring a printed copy of the certificate you receive to the main office.
Click on the orange box that says, Online Training for Volunteers and Contractors: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions document in English and Spanish.
